Electrolysis components for a green energy supply
created on 6/23/2025
On the road towards a sustainable energy supply, technologies for carbon-free energy production are becoming increasingly important. Electrolysis, and the associated production of green hydrogen, is a key technology for a sustainable energy supply, both in large-scale industry and in the transport sector.
HTT electrolysis components
HTT supplies components for producing electrolysis stacks, which are the technological heart of electrolysers. Electrolysis uses electrical energy to break water down into hydrogen and oxygen. Transformers play a decisive role in providing the electrical parameters that are necessary for the process.
Transformers or transformer aggregates consisting of a regulating transformer and a high-current transformer are frequently used in electrolysis technology. The regulating transformer controls the input voltage and adapts it to the demand of the high-current transformer within a defined voltage range. This enables the high-current transformer to deliver the required output voltage without impairing the efficiency. The high-voltage transformer delivers the electricity that is needed for the electrolysis process. The input voltage of the high-current transformer is regulated under load conditions. This makes it possible to produce hydrogen uniformly and efficiently.
Contribution to sustainable industry
In industry, hydrogen is already being used as a clean energy source in steel production, in the chemicals industry and in the production of fertilisers. The transport sector is also able to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions by using green hydrogen. In the circular economy, HTT electrolysis components are also used for the resource-friendly production of metals and non-ferrous metals.
In short: HTT transformers are contributing towards a clean energy generation and resource conservation. In this way, we are supporting our customers on their journey towards the energy revolution.
